The Relationship between Daily Stress and Subjective Happiness in Middle School Students: Verification of the Mediating Effect of Self-Efficacy and the Moderated Mediating Effect of Social Support

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to confirm the mediating effect of self-efficacy and the moderated mediating effect of social support in the relationship between daily stress and subjective happiness of middle school students. In this study, 538 copies of middle school student data were used as secondary data analysis. The research hypothesis was verified using the SPSS 25.0 and SPSS Process Macro 1, 4, and 14 models. The analysis results are as follows. First, it was found that there were all significant correlations between the variables. In addition, the sense of self-efficacy partially mediated the daily stress and the subjective happiness, and the moderating effect of social support was found in the relationship between self-efficacy and subject ctive happiness. Also, it was verified that social support regulates the mediating effect of self-efficacy. This study is meaningful in that it attempted to examine the association between personal and social factors for improving the subjective happiness of middle school students through a moderated mediating model.
